About Us

At Kahwa Coffee Roasters of Vermont our mission is to familiarize as many people as we can to the wonderful taste of fresh roasted coffee. We believe in roasting our coffee beans to the point where they bring out the unique flavor profiles of each origin. We do not believe in over-roasting our coffees, giving them a burnt flavor that is so familiar to what you may have been used to. Over roasting is generally done to mask the quality of the coffee.

Artisan-roasted,hand- crafted, organic and mostly fair-traded specialty coffees that are roasted to order in small batches, then shipped the next day, insuring our customers that they are getting the freshest tasting coffees possible.

We roast only 100% organic coffee beans. Our coffees and our process are  certified by theVermont Organic Farmers Assoc. and are determined to be in compliance with the USDA National Organic Program standards. We are also licensed to offer Fair Trade Certified™  coffees which are the majority of our coffee beans.

                                               

 

 We are also members of the Specialty Coffee Association of America ( SCAA )          

 Our selections include single origin coffees from around the world along with some of our own special blends.

 We package our coffees in two sizes - 12 oz or 5 lb.  The packaging is designed to retain fresh roast flavor because we provide heat sealed poly bags with one way valves.  One way valves allow for the natural de-gassing of the fresh roasted coffee beans without letting any oxygen into the bag.  To retain freshness once the bags are opened, you can use the tin ties and/or resealable tape that are included with each bag.

We supply coffee to restaurants, coffee bars and cafes, organic markets, grocery stores and retail sales via the Internet.
